Over a month ago, I wrote a post about starting the Writer’s IDE. At the end of the post, I implied that I would shortly be writing about something else that was upcoming. And then, I didn’t. It’s been over a month. So what has happened?

I got busy, real busy in multiple ways. My youngest son began preschool, and It was a lot of work to get all the paperwork/setup done. But then also when both kids were out of the house, my wife and I wanted to take advantage of a freedom we hadn’t had for years. We rode our bikes for hours and went to the gym together. Beyond that, work got busy (I had previously been riding a wave of less work). I’m riding the next wave right now, and I plan to get a lot done. But the last thing is that I pursued a lot of learning on my own. One of them was writing my own feature-light Redis in Rust, taking a course on UI, and reading a 600-page textbook on UX. I know that isn’t that much, but, between everything else, it’s a bit dry and is taking me awhile to parse. I hope to be able to write some more in the future, but I want to finish my current path and create an exhaustive assessment of how I will update the UI/UX of this blog. I have some ideas, but I’m still early in the path.
